About the event
In staging Endless Hours at Sea, video and multi-media artist Martha Atienza presents us with a sensory and artistic narrative that emulates her oceanic expedition experience.
Endless Hours at Sea marks the culmination of Martha’s voyages on international cargo and container ships from 2010 to 2013. In that time, she sailed from the United Kingdom to Northern Ireland, crossed the South China Sea from Singapore–Thailand and Malaysia, sailed to the port of Melbourne, Australia; travelled through the transatlantic; crossed from New Orleans, USA to Köplin, Sweden via Kaliningrad, Russia.
