About the event
Larasati, together with studio-gallery Artesan as its major working partner, held a Preview Exhibition of Philippine Art at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA Gallery 3) on April 18th and 19th. Curated by Artesan Director, Roberta Dans, the stunning collection displayed works by prominent artists including significant talent that have had a profound impact on the development of modern and contemporary Filipino paintings, as part of its art outreach education project. Among the highlights of the 40 artworks were masters paintings by Filipino national artists Fernando Amorsolo, Vicente Manansala, J. Elizalde Navarro, Benedicto Cabrera and Arturo Luz. Other notable and estav]blished artists such as Araceli Limcaco Dans, Onib Olmedo, Edgar TalusanFernandez, Emmanuel Garibay, and Antipas Delotavo are included in this collection, whilst works by Ronald Ventura, Alfredo Esquillo Jr., Jeho Bitancor, Isabel Diaz and Kiko Escora will be among the outstanding works by the younger generation of artists. The ambience was both starkly fabulous with NAFA’s superb Gallery III equipped with state of the art equipment, where each piece was displayed as an individual gem.
